Hi Friends! I just finished up my Mother’s Day Pack!!! I can’t wait for my students to get started on making these sweet and memorable gift ideas for their loved one. I was mindful when I designed these activities because I know many children are raised by another guardian, like their grandmother, stepmom, or aunt. All of these activities would work for any of those people! My favorite part of the packet is this little craft called, “I Love You Bunches!” I know this will be a gift that their loved one will treasure forever. My mom has a box of Mother’s Day crafts/cards I made for her when I was in elementary school. She loves looking back at all of them every now and again! Another gift idea in the packet is this handmade book. I made four different versions: “My Sweet Mom, “My Sweet Grandma,” “My Sweet Aunt,” and “My Sweet ________” (for stepmoms). My students made these last year and they loved them. I prepped the books for them and placed them at our writing station and they went to town. They loved decorating the covers and illustrating and writing on each page.
Here’s one of the pages in the book: The last little gift idea is this coupon book. This is a super sweet and easy to assemble book. Students can write their own coupons on a blank template and/or use the ones provided.
Here are a few of the coupon options: (I included grandma for those who may be raised by their grandmothers) This one is my personal favorite. I’m sure my mom would have loved this one when my siblings and I were kids. Haha! All of the templates and instructions are included in this packet. You can find it by clicking HERE or on the preview below. Here’s a photo of my cute mom from her trip to Italy with my dad and their friends! I love her so much! One of my favorite qualities about my mom is that she can always see the positive in everything. She uplifts me, inspires me, and has always believed in me.

April 25, 2013I love the "I love you bunches" page! I think I will use that as the cover of our Mother's Day books this year… I do analogies with my kids… "I love you like bees love honey… I love you like peanut butter loves jelly" Its fun to see what the kids come up with, but this will be the PERFECT cover! Thanks for sharing!
Have a good day!
