Hey there! I'm Lyndsey Kuster!

My journey to creating educational materials began in 2009 as a first grade teacher (love those toothless grins!) in Baltimore, Maryland. I was incredibly passionate (dare I say obsessed?) about my job, and I was fortunate to have a wonderful principal who trusted and supported us. In 2012, I started creating and sharing resources on my website and on TeachersPayTeachers.

As time went on, I realized that I wanted to make my resources even more accessible and affordable for teachers. In 2018, I took a significant step and launched my core K-2 membership, LK Unlocked. This membership provides K-2 teachers with unlimited access to all my resources at a budget-friendly price.

SEL Exploration Curriculum

In 2020, I developed a social-emotional learning curriculum, SEL Exploration. This program helps teachers nurture students’ emotional well-being, build positive relationships, and foster essential life skills. I understand the importance of social-emotional development in young learners and strive to provide resources that support holistic growth.

Road to Decode Membership

In 2022, I developed our Science of Reading aligned subscription called Road to Decode. With this program, I provide decodable readers and comprehensive resources that support effective reading instruction using science of reading research. I believe that all students deserve a strong foundation in literacy, and our subscription aims to equip teachers with the tools they need to make that happen.

Building Primary Writers Program

And finally, I recently launched our newest program, Building Primary Writers, a comprehensive writing curriculum specifically designed for K-2 students. This program focuses on developing students’ writing skills through engaging activities and scaffolded instruction. I believe that nurturing young writers is crucial, and this program aims to inspire and guide teachers in cultivating a love for writing in their students.
