Super Girls to the Rescue (Er, Ir, and Ur)

  Meet The Super Girls!

The Super Girls are superheroes with awesome superpowers. They’ll be flying into my classroom in the next few weeks to help us review r-controlled vowels.  I’ll be pulling out these anchor charts:

And, I’ll be reading this mini-story filled with “er,” “ir” and “ur” words. I know my kids will LOVE each little superhero.

I’m especially excited for my kids to make (and decorate) these simple superhero masks before heading out on our “er,” “ir”, and “ur” word hunt around the classroom!

image image I know my kids will also love writing super sentences and a superhero story (using “er,” “ir,” and ur” words, of course!). We’ll also be doing a little sorting, too.

And, nothing beats a good old fashioned game of bingo (superhero style) and a fun review game. We’ll be squeezing in these SUPER games, for sure.
